o   Census of Population and Housing – conducted every ten years, the Census aims to establish the latest population and household count in the country as well as their demographic and housing characteristics. These data are important for planning.

o    Consumer Price Surveys - Conducted monthly, the data are used in estimating the Consumer Price Indexas basis for the data on inflation.

o    Producers Price Survey for Manufacturing - The survey is designed to measure the monthly change in the effective selling prices received by manufacturers for their products as they leave the factory gate. Price information is at basic prices, that is, they do not include taxes on products (e.g. VAT and excise duties) and include any subsidy. The Producers Price Index for Manufacturing (PPI-M) will therefore reflect the price trends of a constant basket of well-specified products representing the output of the manufacturing industries.

o    Poverty Indicators Survey or Enquete Integrale sur les Conditions de Vie des Menages (EICV) - Conducted every 5 years, this survey provides information on changes in the well-being of the population such as poverty, inequality, employment, living conditions, education, health and housing conditions, household consumption, among others.

o    Demographic and Health Survey (DHS 2005) - Demographic surveys report of the country demographic and health characteristics of Rwandans reporting on important indicators such as infant mortality, maternal health, reproduction and family planning, nutritional status, HIV and other disease prevalence. It is conducted every 5 years.

o    Enquête Intermédiaire Démographique et de Santé (EDS 2007-2008) -  Ce rapport présente les résultats préliminaires de l’Enquête Intermédiaire Démographique et de Santé 2007-2008 du Rwanda (EIDSR 2007-2008) qui a été réalisée par l’Institut National de la Statistique et le Ministère de la Santé du Rwanda.

o    Service Provision Assessment (SPA) – The main objective for this survey is to collect information on the quality and access to health care services countrywide in terms of the number of facilities, equipment and technical staff (health care providers). It is conducted every 5 years.

o    District Baseline – These surveys are conducted in all Districts in Rwanda. The survey is mainly to get information on living conditions, agriculture and health of the people living in the districts.
