1. E-MAGINE or RWANDA KIDS WATCH Project
Imagine this. In a rural school in Rwanda, students cluster around a basic weather station. Each day, they take the temperature; inspect a rain gauge to measure rainfall in the previous 24 hours. They document the cloud cover and note the direction and speed of the wind. They discuss their readings, make sure that they are accurate and enter the data into a data base using the web – or using a mobile phone if the web is not available. A daily weather and wind map of Rwanda is automatically generated – created by students. E-MAGINE report in PDF
