Workshop of the thirty (30) District statisticians was conducted for two days from 10th and 11th April, 2008 at NISR Headquarters. This workshop aimed at reminding the district statistician about their duties and discuss on ways to get accurate, timely and relevant data.

There was also another training of District statistician, statisticians from Ministries and Government agencies which was conducted for two days form 28th to 29th at Vacina on Data collection, processing and management (Data management and survey methods).

Training of statisticians and data managers in the Justice sector.From 14th – 16th May, 2008, there was a training of statisticians and data managers in the Justice sector at Vacina. The three day training was about descriptive statistics.  The participants were from all institutions and people working in the Justice sector. These were; the National police, Ministry of Justice………………………. This was sponsored by United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

The trained people are the ones who will be in charge of monitoring Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Strategy (EDPRS) in the Justice sector.
