Rwanda producer prices rise 11.32 pct in Q1, 2017

Rwanda's producer price index (PPI), which measures the average change over tinme in prices received by domestic producers of Goods and Services, rose 11.32 percent compared to the index of first year of 2016, and an increase of 3.08 percent compared to the index of the previous quarter (fourth quarter 2016).

The index for local products for the first quarter 2017, registered an increase of 2.62 percent compared to the index of the first quarter of 2016, and an increase of 0.68 percent compared to the index of the previous quarter (fourth quarter 2016).

The index for export for the first quarter 2017, registered an increase of 22.72 percent compared to the index of the first quarter of 2016, and an increase of 6.09 percent compared to the index of the previous quarter (fourth quarter 2016).
