The Comprehensive Food Security and Vulnerability Analysis (CFSVA) was conducted in 2006 with the objective of measuring the extent and depth of food insecurity and vulnerability and identifying the underlying causes. A total of 2,786 households were selected through multiple stage cluster sampling to ensure that it was representative at the sub-provincial level. The zone of Kigali was not datasourceed.

Comprehensive food security and vulnerability analysis and nutrition survey (CFSVA - 2006)

This baseline is a joint initiative carried out by the National Institute of Statistics Rwanda (NISR) and the World Food Programme (WFP) with participation from the Ministry of Agriculture (MINAGRI), FEWS NET, MINALOC, MINECOFIN, UNICEF and Medecin Sans Frontières. Many people have been involved in the CFSVA process in Rwanda, which began in late December 2005.
