Prices of consumer goods, services on slight rise in Feb. 2013 in Rwanda
Prices of Rwandan consumer goods increased 0.20 per cent in February 2013, according to the monthly publication released by the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR).
In Rwanda, the CPI measures average changes in prices of goods and services in both urban and rural areas of the country.
The latest publication released over the weekend in Kigali put the CPI Index at 118.8 in February, up from 118.5 in January 2013.
The most significant monthly price changes were increases in prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, housing, water, electricity, gas, other fuels and education.
Prices for the overall category increased by 0.20 per cent in the month and by 4.79 per cent in the year to February 2013.
