Rwanda’s Producer Price Index up 2.58 pct in Q2, 2016
Rwanda’s Produce Price Index (PPI), which measures wholesale inflation, for the second quarter 2016 registered an increase of 2.58 percent compared to the index of the second quarter of the year 2015, and a decrease of 0.29 percent compared to the index of the previous quarter (first quarter 2016).
The index for local products for the second quarter 2016 registered an increase of 3.96 percent compared to the index of the second quarter of the year 2015, and an increase of 0.41 percent compared to the index of the previous quarter (first quarter 2016).
The index for exports for the first quarter 2016 registered a decrease of 6.31 percent compared to the index of the second quarter of the year 2015, and a decrease of 5.65 percent compared to the index of the previous quarter (first quarter 2016).
