Rwanda's CPI is 2.0 pct year on year in July 2018
Rwanda’s Consumer Price Index (CPI), main gauge of inflation has risen 2.0 percent year on year in July 2018 down from 2.9 percent in June 2018.
In July 2018, ‘Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels’ and Transport rose by 3.1 percent and 10.2 percent respectively.
The data also show the “local goods” increased by 1.2 percent on annual change and decreased by 1.3 percent on monthly basis, while prices of the “imported products” increased by 4.7 percent on annual basis and increased by 0.1 percent on monthly basis.
The prices of the “Energy” increased by 10.0 percent on annual change and decreased by 2.3 percent on monthly basis.
The prices of the “fresh products” increased by 1.5 percent on annual change and decreased by 4.0 percent on monthly basis.
