Rwanda's producer price rises 6.6 pct in Q4,2016
Rwanda's producer price index (PPI), which measures the average change over time in prices for goods at the factory gate, rose 6.60 percent year on year in Quarter 4, 2016.
Report indicates that PPI also has increased by 4.85 percent compared to the index of the previous quarter (third quarter 2016).
The index for local products for the fourth quarter 2016, registered an increase of 1.86 percent compared to the index of the fourth quarter of 2015, and an increase of 1.12 percent compared to the index of the previous quarter (third quarter 2016).
The index for exports for the fourth quarter 2016, registered an increase of 5.82 percent compared to the index of the fourth quarter of 2015, and an increase of 8.63 percent compared to the index of the previous quarter (third quarter 2016).
