In June 2026, the formal sector industrial output increased by 6.2% compared to June 2025, while the annual average growth rate was 6.3%.
Activities performed as follows:
- Mining and quarrying increased by 6.9%.
- Manufacturing increased by 21.5%.
- Electricity increased by 16.5%; and
- Water & waste management increased by 11.3%.
The output of manufacturing activities increased by 21.5%. The increase in manufacturing activities is due to a 2.2 % increase in manufacturing of food processing, a 5.2% increase of manufacturing of beverages & tobacco, and a 6.3% increase of manufacturing of chemicals, rubber & plastic products.
