The National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda in collaboration with Paris 21 organized a five days training on Gender Statistics.
The training is dedicated to 30 journalists from different media houses in Rwanda.
When opening the training on behalf of NISR Management, Mrs. Kayitesi Claudette, Training center manager at NISR salutes the good partnership with Paris 21 and wishes a fruitful outcome of the training.
Among other topics, Mrs. Stacey Bradbury, a facilitator from Paris 21 show journalists how they can help to improve gender equality, understanding the essentials of gender statistics and telling gender statistics stories with data.
During the training journalists have enough time to work in groups discussion and improve their skills of using MS Excel for their reporting activities, and also it is a good opportunity to share with journalists the preparations of RPHC2022, to make the population aware on this imminent activity and its importance for the life of the country.
