Producer Price Index Report - January 2023
Rwanda’s general Producer Price Index combining both prices for local and export products registered an annual increase of 13.7 percent in January 2023, Local PPI increased by 15.4 percent in January 2023, and Export PPI increased by 10.2 percent in January 2023.

Rwanda's population increased from 10.5M in 2012 to 13.2M in 2022 with an annual population growth rate of 2.3%. Eastern Province has the highest population (26.9%). Southern Province has the highest number of recent out-migrants.

Consumer Price Index - January 2023
Urban CPI increased by 20.7 percent on annual basis (January 2023 and January 2022) and increased by 1.3 percent on monthly basis (January 2023 to December 2022). The annual average inflation rate between January 2023 and January 2022 was 15.3 percent.

Formal external trade in Goods report (November 2022)
The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 291.59 million in November 2022, a decrease of 3.57 per cent compared to the previous month of October 2022. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 39.51 per cent on the deficit of November 2021.

Rwanda’s general Producer Price Index combining both prices for local and export products registered an annual increase of 12.3 percent in November 2022, Local PPI increased by 8.9 percent in November 2022, and Export PPI increased by 21.7 percent in November 2022.
GDP National Accounts (Third Quarter 2022)
In the third quarter of 2022, GDP at current market prices was estimated at Frw 3,583 billion, up from Frw 2,758 billion in same quarter of 2021. In this quarter, services contributed 47 percent of GDP, Agriculture contributed 24 percent of GDP, Industry contributed 21 percent of GDP and 8 percent was attributed to adjustment for taxes and subsidies on products.
Formal external trade in Goods report (Q3,2022)
In the third quarter of 2022, Rwanda’s total trade was US$ 2,031.24 million, an increase of 48 percent over the third quarter of 2021. Exports were US$ 342.69 million; imports were US$ 1,500.79 million and re-exports were US$ 187.76 million.
