Labour Force Survey Trends-August 2021(Q3)
The Labour Force Survey (LFS) programme collect data on employment and labour underutilization characteristics of the population on a continuous basis, providing quarterly estimates of the main labour force aggregates with sufficient precision at the National level since 2016.
Seasonal Agricultural Survey (Season B, 2021)
The NISR has conducted the Seasonal Agriculture Survey for the 2021 agricultural year that covered the season B, with the aim to provide more comprehensive data on Rwandan agriculture sector. During 2021 Season B, data collection started from 2nd May 2021 to 30th June 2021 covering 1200 segments and 330 large scale farmers’ holdings across all the country.
Consumer Price Index (CPI) - October 2021
Urban CPI increased by 0.6 percent on annual basis (October 2021 and October 2020) and increased by 0.6 percent on monthly basis (October 2021 to September 2021). The annual average inflation rate between October2021 and October 2020 was 1.2 percent.
Index of Industrial Production (formal activity),September 2021
In September 2021, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) shows that, industrial output (formal sector) increased by 12.6 percent compared to September 2020, against an increase of 12.4 percent on annual average basis.
Producer Price Index Report,September 2021
Rwanda’s general Producer Price Index combining both prices for local and export products registered an annual increase of 6.4 percent in September 2021. Monthly general PPI increased by 0.9 percent. Local PPI increased by 3.6 percent in September 2021, and Export PPI increased by 16.3 percent in September 2021.
Formal external trade in Goods report (September 2021)
The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 223.65 million in September 2021, an increase of 3.33 per cent compared to the previous month of August. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 60.34 per cent on the deficit of September 2020.

The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 216.43 million in August 2021, a decrease of 4.39 per cent compared to the previous month of July. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit decreased by 7.32 per cent on the deficit of August 2020.

In August 2021, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) shows that, industrial output (formal sector) increased by 14.8 percent compared to August 2020, against an increase of 11.9 percent on annual average basis.
