Producer Price Index Report,June 2021
Rwanda’s general Producer Price Index combining both prices for local and export products registered an annual increase of 7.7 percent in June 2021. Monthly general PPI increased by 2.1 percent. Local PPI increased by 3.7 percent in June 2021, and Export PPI increased by 25.6 percent in June 2021.
Formal external trade in Goods report (June 2021)
The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 191.39 million in June 2021, a decrease of 12.31 per cent compared to the previous month of May. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 9.34 per cent on the deficit of June 2020.
Rwanda Vital Statistics Report - 2020
The National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR) within the third National Strategy for Development of Statistics (NSDS3), which is being implemented from 2019/20 to 2023/24, committed to strengthen administrative data collection system including Civil Registration and Vital Statistics System (CRVS) in Rwanda to complement official statistics from surveys and censuses.
Consumer Price Index (CPI) - June 2021
Urban CPI decreased by 0.2 percent on both annual basis (June 2021 and June 2020) and monthly basis (June 2021 to May 2021). The annual average inflation rate between June 2021 to June 2020 was 4.1 percent.

In May 2021, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) shows that, industrial output (formal sector) increased by 40.7 percent compared to May 2020, against an increase of 6.2 percent on annual average basis.

The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 218.26 million in May 2021, an increase of 34.43 per cent compared to the previous month of April. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 89.44 per cent on the deficit of May 2020.

In April 2021, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) shows that, industrial output (formal sector) increased by 90.0 percent compared to April 2020, against an increase of 1.2 percent on annual average basis.

The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 162.36 million in April 2021, a decrease of 16.07 per cent compared to the previous month of March. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 17.62 per cent on the deficit of April 2020.
GDP National Accounts (First Quarter 2021)
In the first quarter of 2021, GDP at current market prices was estimated to be Frw 2,579 billion, up from Frw 2,410 billion in Q1 2020. In this quarter, services sector contributed 46 percent of GDP, agriculture sector contributed 27 percent of the GDP, Industry sector contributed 20 percent of the GDP and 8 percent was attributed to adjustment for taxes and subsidies on products.
