Urban CPI increased by 1.6 percent on annual basis (February 2021 to February 2020) and increased by 0.4 percent on monthly basis (February 2021 to January 2021). The annual average inflation rate between February 2021 to February 2020 was 6.7 percent.
Formal external trade in Goods report (January 2021)
The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 153.67 million in January 2021, a decrease of 20.28 per cent compared to the previous month of December 2020. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit decreased by 36.61 per cent on the deficit of January 2020.

In January 2021, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) shows that, industrial output (formal sector) decreased by 17.5 percent compared to January 2020, against a decrease of 8.2 percent on annual average basis.

Local PPI increased by 5.1 percent in January 2021, while Export PPI increased by 5 percent in January 2021.

The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 215.35 million in November 2020, an increase of 28.58 per cent compared to the previous month of October. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 24.29 per cent on the deficit of November 2019.
