Demographic Dividend
The Demographic Dividend study on Rwanda assessed the socio-economic and human development potential of our country in the short, medium and long-term period using a comprehensive approach. It generated relevant policy and programme information to guide a well-informed polciy required to propel Rwanda towards achieving its aspirations of being high middle income country by 2035 and high income country by 2050.
Formal external trade in Goods report (October 2017)
The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 53.19 million in October 2017, a decrease of 34.99 per cent when compared to the previous month of September 2017. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit decreased by 24.47 per cent on the deficit of October 2016.
Formal External Trade in Goods Statistics report (Q3, 2017)
Rwanda’s total trade amounted to US$ 725.09 million, an increase of 20.16 per cent over the third quarter of 2016 was made up of Exports worth US$ 170.66 million, imports of US$ 482.86 million and re-exports were valued at US$ 71.57 million.
GDP National Accounts (Third Quarter 2017)
In the third quarter of 2017, GDP at current market prices was estimated to be Frw 1,927 billion. Estimates calculated in 2014 prices show that GDP growth was 8 percent higher in real terms compared to the same quarter of 2016.
Consumer Price Index (CPI) - November 2017
The Urban CPI increased by 2.2 percent on annual basis and decreased by 1.2 percent on a monthly basis. The annual average rate between November 2017 and November 2016 is 5.4 percent.
Producer Price Index Report (Third Quarter 2017)
The general index for the third quarter 2017, registered an increase of 9.11 percent compared to the index of the second quarter 2016, and an increase of 1.00 percent compared to the index of the previous quarter (second quarter 2017).
Consumer Price Index (CPI) - October 2017
The urban CPI increased by 3.6 percent on annual basics and increased by 1.2 percent on a monthly basis. The annual average rate between october 2017 and october 2016 is 5.8 percent.
Formal external trade in Goods report (September 2017)
The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 81.82 million in September 2017, an increase of 23.09 per cent when compared to the previous month of August. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit decreased by 6.89 per cent on the deficit of September 2016.
Labour Force Survey Report (February 2017)
The National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR) introduced the Labour Force Survey (LFS) program to avail statistics on employment and labour market in Rwanda on a continuous basis, providing bi-annual estimates of the main labour force aggregates. Labour statistics play an essential role in the efforts of the country to achieve decent work for all. These statistics are needed for the development of policies towards this goal and for assessing progress towards decent work.
