The survey was undertaken between January and March 2006, and covered a total of 111 establishments, of which about 26 establishments were randomly sampled from the mining sector. The non-mining establishments surveyed represent a census of the manufacturing sector in Rwanda (85 establishments) covering mainly food and beverages, construction materials, chemicals and plastics, metals, wood furniture, textiles, garments, and leather processing activities

Exports to EAC Partner States increased by 65.7 per cent from US$ 9.88 million in the third quarter of 2010 to US$ 16.37 million in 2011 in the same quarter. The decrease from the second quarter level of 2011 is 17.1 per cent. KENYA was the main destination of RWANDA with the share of 84.8 per cent of the total exports to EAC region, followed by Burundi and Uganda for 9.3 and 5.1 per cent respectively.

A total of 10,644 households were selected in the sample for the third Rwandan Demographic and Health survey (RDHS-III), and 10,307 of these were contacted at the time of the survey. The survey teams were able to interview individuals in 10,272 households, for a response rate of nearly 100 percent. In the 10,272 households surveyed, 11,539 women between 15 and 49 years of age were considered eligible for individual interviews and 11,321 were successfully interviewed

In August 2011 the All Urban general index is established at 111.3 this stands for an increase of 0.43% over the previous month which was 110.8. In annual change it increased by 7.52% compared to 7.14% in the previous month. This gives a general inflation rate by an annual average of 3.3% during the month of August 2011.
