Rwanda's CPI, main gauge of inflation increased by 5.8 percent on annual basis (February 2022 and February 2021) and increased by 1.8 percent on monthly basis (February 2022 to January 2022).
The annual average inflation rate between February 2022 and February 2021 was 1.3 percent.
‘Food and non-alcoholic beverages’ increased by 3.7 percent and ‘Housing water, electricity, gas and other fuels’ increased by 2 percent.
The underlying inflation rate (excluding fresh food and energy) increased by 5.3 percent when compared to February 2021 and increased by 1 percent when compared to January 2022.
The annual average inflation rate between February 2022 and February 2021 is 1.3 percent. The annual average underlying inflation rate is 2.3 percent.
