In January 2023, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) shows that, industrial output (formal sector) increased by 5.9 percent compared to January 2022, against an increase of 9.3 percent on annual average basis.
Activities performed as follows:
➢ Mining and quarrying increased by 13.0 percent
➢ Manufacturing increased by 2.5 percent
➢ Electricity increased by 15.0 percent; and
➢ Water and waste management increased by 7.3 percent
