In February 2023, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) shows that, industrial output (formal sector) increased by 5.6 percent compared to February 2022, against an increase of 7.9 percent on annual average basis.
Activities performed as follows:
- Mining and quarrying increased by 68.1 percent
- Manufacturing increased by 1.7 percent
- Electricity increased by 14.3 percent; and
- Water and waste management increased by 8.8 percent.
