Formal External Trade in Goods Statistics report (Annual report, 2014)

In the year ending December 2014, Rwanda’s total trade of US$ 2,370.21 million, higher by 4% compared to the year 2013 (US$ 2,276.45 million), was made up of exports worth US$ 452.82 million, imports bill valued at US$ 1,718.41 million and re-exports worth of US$ 198.99 million.

Producer Price Index Report (First Quarter 2015)

The general index for the first quarter 2015 registered an increase of 1.39  percent compared to the index of the previous quarter (fourth quarter 2014) and an increase of  1.00 percent  compared to the index of the first quarter of the year 2014.

The index for local products for the first quarter 2015 registered an increase of 0.61 percent compared to the index of the previous quarter (fourth quarter 2014) and an increase of 1.44 percent compared to the index of the first quarter of the year 2014.

Consumer Price Index (CPI) - April 2015

The Urban CPI increased by 0.9 percent in April 2015 compared to the same month of the previous year. This is mainly due to the rising prices of ‘Food and non-alcoholic beverages’ 2.5 percent and ‘Housing water, electricity, gas and other fuels’ 2.9 percent.

Consumer Price Index (CPI) - March 2015

The Urban CPI increased by 0.8 percent in March 2015 compared to the same month of the previous year. This is mainly due to the rising prices of Food and non-alcoholic beverages 0.8 percent and Housing water, electricity, gas and other fuels 3.8 percent.
