UN Datathon 2023: NISR Hosts a Global Data Competition with Participants from Nine Nations

The National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR) has taken center stage in the world of data science by hosting the United Nations Datathon 2023, as well as serving as the home to the UN Big Data Regional Hub for Africa. This prestigious event has drawn over 400 teams, each consisting of 3 to 5 members, from across the globe. The NISR site proudly hosts six diverse teams, representing participants from nine different nationalities, including Namibia, Comoros, Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Egypt, Ethiopia, the Netherlands, and, of course, Rwanda.
