The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 362.79 million in December 2025, an increase of 22.98 percent compared to the previous month of November 2025. Year-to-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 36.11 percent on the deficit of December 2024.

Exports

In December 2025 domestic exports value decreased by 6.89 per cent compared to November 2025 and decreased by 54.60 per cent compared to December 2024.

Imports

In December 2025 imports value increased by 8.31 per cent compared to November 2025 and decreased by b4.27 per cent compared to December 2024.

Re-exports

In December 2025, re-export values have decreased by 18.55 per cent compared to November 2025 and increased by 31.03 per cent compared to December 2024.

In December 2025, Rwanda's top fixe export trading partners are the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), China, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Luxembourg. Others include Uganda, the United States Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
