In April 2023, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) shows that, industrial output (formal sector) increased by 5.5 percent compared to April 2022, against an increase of 8.2 percent on annual average basis.
Activities performed as follows:
- Mining and quarrying increased by 133.8 percent
- Manufacturing decreased by 0.5 percent
- Electricity increased by 6.7 percent; and
- Water and waste management increased by 3.8 percent.
