Seasonal Agricultural Survey (Season A, 2024)
NISR has conducted the Seasonal Agriculture Survey to provide more comprehensive data on the Rwandan agriculture sector. During 2024 Season A, the data collection activities started from December 3rd, 2023, and was concluded on March 28th, 2024, covering 1,200 segments and 370 large scale farmers’ holdings across the country.
Labour Force Survey - 2024 (Q1)
The Quarterly Labour Force Survey (QLFS) is a household-based sample survey conducted by the NISR. It collects data on the labour market activities of individuals aged 14 years and older who live in private households in Rwanda. However, only persons aged 16 years and above are covered for reporting.
In this report 2024 (Q1), the survey results are mainly compared for February of each year starting from 2019. However, some tables in the annex are presented with more observed data points of the labor force surveys.
Consumer Price Index - April 2024
Urban CPI increased by 4.5 percent on annual basis (April 2024 compared to April 2023) and it increased by 1.4 percent on monthly basis (April 2024 to March 2024). The annual average inflation rate between April 2024 and April 2023 was 9.1 percent.
TRAVEL EXPENDITURE SURVEY REPORT - 2023
This report provides the travel estimates of the fourth quarter of 2023, from the survey conducted during the period of November 2023 to January 2024 and the estimates of the previous periods. In addition, this report highlights the methodology used to collect data for Rwanda's TES.
Rwanda Vital Statistics Report - 2023
This report is organized within 7 chapters namely: 1) Introduction and background 2) Rwanda’s civil registration system 3) Data quality, timeliness and completeness of registration 4) Birth statistics 5) Death statistics 6) Cause of death statistics 7) Marriage statistics. To assess the reliability of results obtained, a comparative analysis involving data from other sources was performed. Only vital events that occurred in 2023 were considered for analysis in this report.
Producer Price Index Report - March 2024
Rwanda’s general Producer Price Index combining both prices for local and export products registered an annual increase of 13.4 percent in March 2024, Local PPI increased by 11.2 percent in March 2024, and Export PPI increased by 18.9 percent in March 2024.
Index of Industrial Production (March-2024)
In March 2024, the industrial output (formal sector) increased by 4.8 percent compared to March 2023, against an increase of 2.7 percent on annual average basis.
Formal external trade in Goods report (March 2024)
The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 400.18 million in March 2024, a decrease of 8.82 percent compared to the previous month of February 2024. Year-to-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 24.26 percent on the deficit of March 2023.
Foreign Private Capital 2023 - Survey Report
The FPC 2023 survey covered 384 enterprises, of which 329 responded, representing a response rate of 85.7 percent. The findings showed that FPC inflows increased by 21.1 percent, up to USD 658.3 million in 2022 from USD 543.8 million in 2021 reflecting a continuous recovery of domestic economic activities and improvement in business environment.
