In September 2026, the formal sector industrial output increased by 7.2% compared to September 2025, while the annual average growth rate was 5.6%.
Activities performed as follows:
- Mining and quarrying increased by 12.0%.
- Manufacturing increased by 0.4%.
- Electricity increased by 15.5%; and
- Water & waste management increased by 11.5%.
The output of manufacturing activities increased by 0.4%. The increase in manufacturing activities is due to a 1.7% increase in manufacturing of food processing, a 4.8% manufacturing of beverages & tobacco, and a 6.1% increase of manufacturing of metal products, machinery and equipment.
