In June 2025, the formal sector industrial output increased by 8.5% compared to June 2024, while the annual average growth rate was 6.4%.
Activities performed as follows:
- Mining and quarrying increased by 17.7%;
- Manufacturing increased by 2.3%;
- Electricity increased by 12.5%;
- Water & waste management increased by 3.0%.
The output of manufacturing activities increased by 2.3 %. The increase in manufacturing activities is due to a 24.6 % increase in manufacturing of food processing, and a 28.9 % increase in manufacturing of non-metallic mineral products.
However, Manufacturing of chemicals, rubber & plastic products decreased by 13.9 % and Manufacturing of metal products, machinery & equipment decreased by 6.6%.
