In April 2025, the formal sector industrial output increased by 0.8% compared to April 2024, while the annual average growth rate was 6.9%.
Activities performed as follows:
- Mining and quarrying increased by 3.6%;
- Manufacturing increased by 4.6%;
- Electricity increased by 0.4%;
- Water & waste management increased by 0.6%.

The output of manufacturing activities increased by 4.6 %. The increase in manufacturing activities is due to a 4.5 % increase in manufacturing of food processing, and a 0.9 % increase in manufacturing of beverages & tobacco.
However, manufacturing of non-metallic mineral products decreased by 6.1 % and manufacturing of chemicals, rubber & plastic products decreased by 2.3 %.
