Seasonal Agricultural Survey - 2019 Annual Report
National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda conducted 2019 Seasonal Agricultural Survey following three seasons. Season A data collection was done from 02nd December 2018 to 09th February 2019. Season B data was collected from 05th May to 23rd June 2019; while in Season C, field work was done from 8th to 27th September 2019. Data collection was done in 780 sampled segments and 222 large scale farmers holdings for Season A and B, whereas in Season C data was collected in 232 segments located in potential regions for season C.
Consumer Price Index (CPI) - December 2019
Urban CPI increased by 6.7 percent on annual basis (December 2019 to December 2018) and decreased by 0.3 percent on monthly basis (December to November 2019). The annual average inflation rate between December 2019 and December 2018 was 2.4 percent.
Index of Industrial Production (formal activity) November 2019
In November 2019, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) shows that, industrial output (formal sector) increased by 2.5 percent compared to November 2018, against a decrease of 0.1 percent on annual average basis.
Integrated Business Enterprise Survey IBES 2018
The Integrated Business Enterprise Survey in Rwanda (IBES) is a comprehensive annual enterprise survey undertaken to collect, compile, and analyze data on the level and structure of non-agricultural economic activity in the country for both informal and formal sectors, with the formal sector defined as those businesses registered with the Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) and that keeps regular business accounts. The formal sector also includes companies that have 30 or more employees.
Producer Price Index Report, November 2019
Rwanda’s general Producer Price Index combining both prices for local and export products registered an annual increase of 11.44 percent in November 2019. Monthly general PPI decreased by 0.25 percent compared to October 2019. Local PPI increased by 17.45 percent in November 2019, and Export PPI decreased by 5.53 percent in November 2019.
Formal External Trade in Goods Statistics report (Q3, 2019)
In the third quarter of 2019, Rwanda’s total trade was US$ 1013.78 million, an increase of 2.68 percent over the third quarter of 2018. Exports were US$ 121.62 million, imports were US$ 782.98 million and re-exports were US$ 109.18 million.
GDP National Accounts (Third Quarter 2019)
In the third quarter of 2019, GDP at current market prices was estimated to be Frw 2,358 billion, up from Frw 2,065 billion in Q3 2018. In this quarter, estimates calculated in 2014 prices show that GDP was 11.9 percent higher compared to the same quarter of 2018.
Formal external trade in Goods report (October 2019)
The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 225.70 million in October 2019, an increase of 21.89 percent compared to the previous month of September. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 24.11 percent compared to the deficit of October 2018

In October 2019, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) shows that, industrial output (formal sector) decreased by 14.4 percent compared to October 2018, against an increase of 0.4 percent on annual average basis.
