Formal external trade in Goods report (Q2,2024)
In the second quarter of 2024, Rwanda’s total trade was US$ 2,519.58 million, an increase of 14.67 percent over the second quarter of 2023. Domestic exports were US$ 541.10 million; imports were US$ 1,814.47 million and re-exports were US$ 164 million.
Formal external trade in Goods report (August 2024)
The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 494.45 million in August 2024, an increase of 4.61 percent compared to the previous month of July 2024. Year-to-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 48.06 percent on the deficit of August 2023.

Producer Price Index Report - August 2024
Rwanda’s general Producer Price Index combining both prices for local and export products registered an annual decrease of 5.1 percent in August 2024, Local PPI decreased by 8.5 percent in August 2024, and Export PPI increased by 3.3 percent in August 2024.
GDP National Accounts (Second Quarter 2024)
In Q2 of 2024, GDP at current market prices was estimated at Frw 4,515 billion, up from Frw 3,972 billion in Q2 of 2023. Services contributed 47 percent to GDP, agriculture contributed 25 percent while industry contributed 21 percent. Net direct taxes accounted for 7 percent.

In the fiscal year 2023/24, GDP at current market prices was estimated at Frw 17,684 billion, up from Frw 15,291 billion in 2022/23. Services contributed 46 percent to GDP, agriculture contributed 26 percent while industry contributed 21 percent. Net direct taxes accounted for 7 percent.
Consumer Price Index (CPI) - August 2024
Urban CPI increased by 5 percent on annual basis (August 2024 compared to August 2023) and it increased by 0.9 percent on monthly basis (August 2024 to July 2024). The annual average inflation rate between August 2024 and August 2023 was 6.6 percent.
