Consumer Price Index Report (June 2011)

In June 2011 the All Urban general index is established at 110.4 this stands for an increase of 1.54% over the previous month which was 108.7. In annual change it increased by 5.82% compared to 4.54% in the previous month. This gives a general inflation rate by an annual average of 2.5% during the month of June 2011.

In July 2011 the All Urban general index is established at 110.8 this stands for an increase of 0.40% over the previous month which was 110.4. In annual change it increased by 7.14% compared to 5.82% in the previous month. This gives a general inflation rate by an annual average of 2.8% during the month of July 2011.

In annual change it increased by 7.52% compared to 7.14% in the previous month. This gives a general inflation rate by an annual average of 3.3% during the month of August 2011.

In annual change it increased by 7.39% compared to 7.76% in the previous month. This gives a general inflation rate by an annual average of 5.0% during the month of November 2011.

Timely and reliable statistics are considered essential for evidence-based policy and decision-making and for better support to policy implementation, monitoring progress and evaluation of outcomes and impacts of development initiatives such as the Vision 2020 Programme, the Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Strategy (EDPRS), and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

Vision 2020 Umurenge Program (VUP) - Baseline Survey

This survey lays the basis for an integrated household panel in subsequent years to track living conditions for the most vulnerable and extreme poor in Rwanda. It’s  provide baseline information on the socio-economic and demographic characteristics of the poorest population eligible for  assistance which is expected to validate the initial subjective ranking of household  welfare through  ubudehe.

Industrial and Mining Survey Report , 2006

The survey was undertaken between January and March 2006, and covered a total of 111 establishments, of which about 26 establishments were randomly sampled from the mining sector. The non-mining establishments surveyed represent a census of the manufacturing sector in Rwanda (85 establishments) covering mainly food and beverages, construction materials, chemicals and plastics, metals, wood furniture, textiles, garments, and leather processing activities
