The Labour Force Survey (LFS) programme collect data on employment and labour underutilization characteristics of the population on a continuous basis, providing quarterly estimates of the main labour force aggregates with sufficient precision at the district level.
Seasonal Agricultural Survey Report - Season B, 2020
National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda conducted 2020 Seasonal Agricultural Survey (SAS) for Season B. Data collection was done in 1200 sampled segments and 293 large scale farmers’ holdings. SAS 2020 Season B results estimate agricultural land at 1.39 million hectares (59% of total country land). In 2020 Season B, physical crop cultivated land was 1.1 million ha out of which 1.06 million hectares were used for Seasonal crops in season B, 0.5 million hectares are area under permanent crops, 0.14 million ha under permanent pasture.
Consumer Price Index (CPI) - September 2020
Urban CPI increased by 8.9 percent on annual basis (September 2020 to September 2019) and increased by 1 percent on monthly basis (September 2020 to August 2020). The annual average inflation rate between September 2020 and September 2019 was 8 percent.
Index of Industrial Production (formal activity) August 2020
In August 2020, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) shows that, industrial output (formal sector) decreased by 4.3 percent compared to August 2019, against a decrease of 2.4 percent on annual average basis.
Formal External Trade in Goods Statistics report (Q2,2020)
In the second quarter of 2020, Rwanda’s total trade was US$ 1013.36 million, an increase of 0.2 percent over the second quarter of 2019. Exports were US$ 217.21 million, imports were US$ 733.50 million and re-exports were US$ 62.65 million.
Formal external trade in Goods report (August 2020)
The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 184.67 million in August 2020, an increase of 22.67 per cent compared to the previous month of July. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 2.56 per cent on the deficit of August 2019

The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 150.54 million in July 2020, a decrease of 21.72 per cent compared to the previous month of June. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit decreased by 9.80 per cent on the deficit of July 2019.

The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 192.32 million in June 2020, an increase of 45.67 per cent compared to the previous month of May. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 60.14 per cent on the deficit of June 2019.
Producer Price Index Report,August 2020
Rwanda’s general Producer Price Index combining both prices for local and export products registered an annual increase of 3.9 percent in August 2020. Monthly general PPI increased by 0.7 percent. Local PPI increased by 3.9 percent in August 2020, while Export PPI increased by 6.2 percent in August 2020.
GDP - National Accounts (Fiscal Year 2019/20)
In the fiscal year 2019-20, GDP at current market prices was estimated to be Frw 9399 billion, up from Frw 8713 billion in 2018-19. Services sector contributed 48 percent of GDP while agriculture sector contributed 25 percent of the GDP. Industry sector contributed 19 percent of the GDP and 8 percent was attributed to adjustment for taxes and subsidies on products.
