Formal External Trade in Goods Statistics report (Q2, 2016)
Rwanda’s total trade amounted to US$ 626.53 million, higher by 2.59 per cent over the second quarter of 2015 was made up Exports worth of US$ 92.24 million, imports of US$ 483.86 million and re-exports valued at US$ 50.43 million.
National Gender Statistics report 2016
This third edition of the National Gender Statistics Report provides the updated sex-disaggregated data in twelve fields: Population and Youth; Education; Health and Nutrition; Economic Activity and time use; Poverty & Social Protection; Justice & Human rights; Environment and Natural Resources; Decisionmaking and Public life; Infrastructure, ICT and Media; Trade and Business and Industry; Agriculture, Livestock and Forestry, and lastly the Income and Access to Finance.
GDP - National Accounts (Second Quarter 2016)
In the second quarter of 2016, GDP at current market prices was estimated to be Rwf 1,549 billion, up from Rwf 1,428 billion in the same quarter of 2015. Estimates calculated in 2011 prices shows that GDP was 5.4 percent higher in real terms compared to the same quarter of 2015. “Agriculture sector” grew by 3 percent. “Industry sector” decreased by 2 percent and “Service sector” increased by 9 percent.
GDP - National Accounts (Fiscal Year 2015/16)
In the fiscal year 2015-16, GDP at current market prices was estimated to be Rwf 6,139 billion, Estimates calculated in 2011 prices shows that GDP was 6.5 percent higher in real terms compared to the previous fiscal year. “Agriculture sector” grew by 5 percent, “industry sector” increased by 4 percent and “Service sector” increased by 8 percent.
Consumer Price Index (CPI) - August 2016
The Urban CPI increased by 6.4 percent on annual basis and increased by 0.5 percent on a monthly basis. The annual average rate between August 2016 and August 2015 is 4.8 percent.
Formal external trade in Goods report (July 2016)
The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 82.96 million in July 2016, a decrease of 23.37 per cent compared to the previous month of June 2016. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit decreased by 11.62 per cent on the deficit of July 2015.

The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 108.27 million in June 2016, an increase of 1.31 per cent compared to the previous month of May 2016. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 22.36 per cent on the deficit of June 2015.
