Rwanda Social protection and VUP report - Results of EICV 4
In this report, we explore the characteristics of poor and potentially vulnerable households in Rwanda, and we analyse what types of household use the social protection programmes, especially the VUP and their experiences of doing so. Section 2 discusses the nature of vulnerability in the country. Section 3 presents the findings from the VUP.
Formal External Trade in Goods Statistics report (Q2, 2015)
Official formal trade in goods data reveal that in the second quarter of 2015, Rwanda’s total trade of US$ 614.88 million, higher by 3 percent over the second quarter of 2014 was made up of exports worth of US$ 94.82 million, imports worth of US$ 470.60 million and re-exports valued at US$ 49.46 million.
Consumer Price Index(CPI) - September 2015
The Urban CPI increased by 3.7 percent on annual basis and increased by 1.1 percent on a monthly basis. The annual average rate between September 2015 and September 2014 is 1.8 percent.
Seasonal Agricultural Survey Report - Season B, 2015
In 2015, the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR) conducted Seasonal Agricultural Surveys (SAS) covering season B that starts in March 2015 and ends with June 2015. This is a summary of key results and related tables about land use, crop land, agricultural inputs, agricultural practices and production. An annual comprehensive SAS Survey report will be published after covering all three agricultural seasons.
GDP - National Accounts (Fiscal Year 2014/15)
In the fiscal year 2014-15, GDP at current market prices was estimated to be Rwf 5,580 billion, up from Rwf 5,137 billion in the previous year 2013-14. The Services sector contributed 47 percent of GDP while the agriculture sector contributed 33 percent of the GDP. The industry sector contributed 14 percent of GDP, and 5 percent was attributed to adjustment for taxes less subsidies on products.
GDP - National Accounts (Second Quarter 2015)
In the second quarter of 2015, GDP at current market prices was estimated to be Rwf 1,414 billion, estimates calculated in 2011 prices shows that GDP was 7 percent higher in real terms compared to the same quarter of 2014.
Rwanda Poverty Profile Report - Results of EICV 4
This report provides an update on the level of poverty based on 2013/14 Integrated Household Living Conditions Survey (EICV4) focusing on poverty as measured in consumption terms. The report also highlights other trend dimensions of living conditions captured in other surveys that complement and provide a holistic understanding of poverty and living conditions.
Main indicators report - Results of EICV 4
The 2013/14 EICV is a follow-up to the 2000/01, 2005/06 and 2010/11 EICV surveys. Each survey provides information on monetary poverty measured in consumption expenditure terms, but also provides complementary socio-economic information that facilitates understanding changes in households living conditions.
The 2013/14 EICV was implemented by the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR), in collaboration with different stakeholders in the country.
Consumer Price Index(CPI) - August 2015
The Urban CPI increased by 3.0 percent on annual basis and increased by 0.9 percent on a monthly basis. The annual average rate between August 2015 and August 2014 is 1.5 percent.
Producer Price Index Report (Second Quarter 2015)
The general index for the second quarter 2015 registered an decrease of 3.84 percent compared to the index of the previous quarter (first quarter 2015) and a decrease of 1.39 percent compared to the index of the second quarter of the year 2014.
