In March 2026, the formal sector industrial output increased by 6.2% compared to March 2025, while the annual average growth rate was 6.3%.
Activities performed as follows:
Mining and quarrying increased by 1.8%;
Manufacturing increased by 0.9%;
Electricity increased by 14.1%; and
Water & waste management increased by 16.8%.
The output of manufacturing activities increased by 0.9%. The increase in manufacturing activities is due to a 4.2 % increase in manufacturing of food processing, and a 8.4% increase of manufacturing of metal products, machinery and equipment.
However, manufacturing of beverages & tobacco by 2.4%.
