In May 2025, the formal sector industrial output increased by 3.7% compared to May 2024, while the annual average growth rate was 6.1%.
Activities performed as follows:
- Mining and quarrying increased by 9.7%.
 - Manufacturing increased by 1.8%.
 - Electricity increased by 2.8%.
 - Water & waste management increased by 8.7%.
 
The output of manufacturing activities increased by 1.8 %. The increase in manufacturing activities is due to a 6.8 % increase in manufacturing of food processing, and a 5.9 % increase in manufacturing of beverages & tobacco.
However, Manufacturing of textiles, clothing & leather goods decreased by 3.9 %.
