Formal external trade in Goods report (August 2018)
The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 164.15 million in August 2018, an increase of 1.55 per cent compared to the previous month of July 2018. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit decreased by 14.48 per cent on the deficit of August 2017.
GDP - National Accounts (Fiscal Year 2017/18)
In the fiscal year 2017-18, Gross domestic product (GDP) at current market prices was estimated to be Frw 7,898 billion, estimates calculated in 2014 prices show that GDP was 8.9 percent higher in real terms compared to the previous year. "Agriculture sector" grew by 8 percent, "Industry sector" increased by 8 percent and “Services sector” increased by 10 percent.

In the second quarter of 2018, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at current market prices was estimated to be Frw 2,000 billion, up from Frw 1,869 billion in Q2 2017. In 2018 Q2, estimates calculated in 2014 prices show that GDP was 6.7 percent higher compared to the second quarter of 2017.
Producer Price Index Report (Second Quarter 2018)
Rwanda’s general producer price index, combining both prices for local and export products registered an annual growth of -0.07 percent in the second quarter of 2018 compared with the same period of 2017, while on quarterly basis it decreased by 0.38 percent compared with the first quarter.
Consumer Price Index (CPI) -August 2018
The Urban CPI increased by 2.1 percent on annual basis and increased by 0.4 percent on monthly basis. The annual average rate between August 2018 and August 2017 was 2.1percent.

The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 161.64 million in July 2018, an increase of 14.12 per cent compared to the previous month of June 2018. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit decreased by 30.16 per cent on the deficit of July 2017.

The Urban CPI increased by 2.0 percent on annual basis and decreased by 1.0 percent on monthly basis. The annual average rate between July 2018 and July 2017 was 2.2 percent.
Formal External Trade in Goods Statistics report (Q2, 2018)
In the second quarter of 2018, Rwanda’s total trade amounted to US$ 913.06 million, an increase of 7.15 per cent over the second quarter of 2017. Domestic exports totaled US$ 164.03 million, imports totaled US$ 662.55 million and re-exports were valued at US$ 86.48 million
