Consumer Price Index - June 2023
Urban CPI increased by 13.7 percent on annual basis (June 2023 and June 2022) and increased by 0.4 percent on monthly basis (June 2023 to May 2023). The annual average inflation rate between June 2023 and June 2022 was 18.2 percent.

In the first quarter of 2023, Rwanda’s total trade was US$ 2,047.02 million, an increase of 38 percent over the first quarter of 2022. Domestic exports were US$ 4,23.89 million; imports were US$ 1,466.90 million and re-exports were US$ 156.23 million.

Index of Industrial Production (May-2023)
In May 2023, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) shows that, industrial output (formal sector) increased by 10.3 percent compared to May 2022, against an increase of 9.1 percent on annual average basis.
Producer Price Index Report - May 2023
Rwanda’s general Producer Price Index combining both prices for local and export products registered an annual increase of 4.5 percent in May 2023, Local PPI increased by 1.8 percent in May 2023, and Export PPI increased by 13 percent in May 2023.
Formal external trade in Goods report (May 2023)
The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 328.84 million in May 2023, an increase of 28.16 per cent compared to the previous month of April. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 8.17 per cent on the deficit of May 2022.
Rwanda Vital Statistics Report - 2022
The National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR) within the third National Strategy for Development of Statistics (NSDS3), which is being implemented from 2019/20 to 2023/24, committed to strengthen administrative data collection system including Civil Registration and Vital Statistics System (CRVS) in Rwanda to complement official statistics from surveys and censuses.
GDP National Accounts (First Quarter 2023)
In the first quarter of 2023, GDP at current market prices was estimated at Frw 3, 901 billion, up from Frw 3,021 billion in Q1 2022. In this quarter, services sector contributed 44 percent of GDP, agriculture sector contributed 27 percent of the GDP, Industry sector contributed 22 percent of the GDP and 8 percent was attributed to adjustment for taxes and subsidies on products.
Foreign Private Capital 2022 Census - Report
The FPC 2022 census covered 305 enterprises, of which 245 responded, representing a response rate of 80.2 percent. Findings revealed that FPC inflows increased by 40.7 percent, up to USD 543.8 million in 2021 from USD 386.4 million in 2020, reflecting the recovery of economic activities and improvement in business environment.
