The Comprehensive Food Security and Vulnerability Analysis_2018
The 2018 CFSVA marks the fifth time that this type of survey has been conducted in Rwanda. The previous analysestook place in 2006, 2009, 2012, and 2015 under the overall leadership of the National Institute of Statistics Rwanda. The results of this CFSVA highlight the continuing positive trends from previous studies, namely that since 2006, Rwanda has taken great strides in reducing poverty and malnutrition in the country.
GDP National Accounts (First Quarter 2019)
In Q1 2019,GDP at current prices was estimated to be 2,144 Billion Frw, up from 1,987 in Q1 2018. Estimates calculated in 2014 prices show that GDP growth was 8.4% which is higher in real terms compared to Q1 2018
Consumer Price Index (CPI) - May 2019
Urban CPI was stable on annual basis and increased by 0.9 percent on monthly basis. The annual average rate between May 2019 and May 2018 was 1.0 percent.
Formal external trade in Goods report (April 2019)
The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 222.98 million in April 2019, an increase of 15.24 per cent compared to the previous month of March. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 77.93 per cent on the deficit of April 2018.

The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 193.50 million in March 2019, an increase of 5.83 per cent compared to the previous month of February. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 16.52 per cent on the deficit of March 2018.

The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 182.83 million in February 2019, an increase of 13.59 per cent compared to the previous month of January. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 12.27 per cent on the deficit of February 2018.

In the first quarter of 2019, Rwanda’s total trade amounted to US$ 943.33 million, a decrease of 1.82 percent over the first quarter of 2018. Exports totaled US$ 118.72 million, imports totaled US$ 739.97 million and re-exports were valued at US$ 84.64 million.
Formal External Trade in Goods Statistics report (Q4, 2018)
In the fourth quarter of 2018, Rwanda’s total trade amounted to US$ 1,090.34 million, an increase of 9.16 percent over the fourth quarter of 2017. Exports totaled US$ 169.91 million, imports totaled US$ 841.92 million and re-exports were valued at US$ 78.51 million.

Urban CPI increased by 0.2 percent on annual and increased by 0.3 percent monthly basis.The annual average rate between April 2019 and April 2018 was 1.2 percent.
Labour Force Survey 2017, Thematic Report, Gender
This report is the result from analysis of the August Labour Force Survey 2017 findings. It sets out a broad overview of trends and gender gaps, including gaps in labour force participation rates, employment-to-population ratios and unemployment rates, along with differences in labour market status and the type of activities that men and women perform in the labour market, hours spent in paid and unpaid work and sectoral and occupational segregation. It also discusses the extent to which these factors account for gender gaps in wages and social protection.
