Formal external trade in Goods report (December 2019)
The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 216.13 million in December 2019, an increase of of 25.71 percent compared to the previous month of November. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 22.21 percent on the deficit of December 2018.
Labour Force Survey Trends-November 2019(Q4)
The sample design of labour force survey presents an advantage of estimating trend of labour market indicators with a higher precision due to its rotational design. In this report, the survey results are compared for February 2019 (Q1), May 2019 (Q2), August 2019 (Q3) and November (Q4). The current report presents in some cases data points including results of the labour force surveys in the previous year.
Index of Industrial Production (formal activity) December 2019
In December 2019, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) shows that, industrial output (formal sector) increased by 11.4 percent compared to December 2018, against an increase of 0.9 percent on annual average basis.
Producer Price Index Report, December 2019
Rwanda’s general Producer Price Index combining both prices for local and export products registered an annual increase of 11.26 percent in December 2019. Monthly general PPI decreased by 0.32 percent compared to November 2019. Local PPI increased by 17.41 percent in December 2019, and Export PPI decreased by 6.64 percent in December 2019.

The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 171.92 million in November 2019, a decrease of 23.83 percent compared to the previous month of October. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit decreased by 17.80 percent on the deficit of November 2018.

Seasonal Agricultural Survey - 2019 Annual Report
National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda conducted 2019 Seasonal Agricultural Survey following three seasons. Season A data collection was done from 02nd December 2018 to 09th February 2019. Season B data was collected from 05th May to 23rd June 2019; while in Season C, field work was done from 8th to 27th September 2019. Data collection was done in 780 sampled segments and 222 large scale farmers holdings for Season A and B, whereas in Season C data was collected in 232 segments located in potential regions for season C.
Consumer Price Index (CPI) - December 2019
Urban CPI increased by 6.7 percent on annual basis (December 2019 to December 2018) and decreased by 0.3 percent on monthly basis (December to November 2019). The annual average inflation rate between December 2019 and December 2018 was 2.4 percent.

In November 2019, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) shows that, industrial output (formal sector) increased by 2.5 percent compared to November 2018, against a decrease of 0.1 percent on annual average basis.
