NISR set to release 2022 RPHC Thematic Reports and District Profiles

The government of Rwanda through NISR conducted the fifth Rwanda Population and Housing Census,2022 RPHC whose data collection ended 30thAugust 2022.After the dissemination of census main indicators, NISR embarked on the thematic analyses (18 thematic reports) and 30 district profiles.

Sother UYISABYE: Best Employee for 2023

Sother UYISABYE is a Regional Price and Economic Data Collector Officer who has been employed by NISR since June 1st, 2018. In this role, he is responsible for collecting and analyzing economic data from Huye Districts. As a data collector, he must ensure that the data is accurate, timely, and meets the required standards. This data is used by the government, businesses, and researchers to inform policy decisions, identify trends, and track economic progress.

NISR Celebrates Labor Day 2023

Every year on May 1st, Rwanda and NISR join with other countries and institutions to celebrate the achievements of workers. On this day, NISR holds a staff general assembly where top management and staff discuss various issues, such as improving labor in the institution, NISR TONTINE, and solidarity.

The DDG gives opening remarks, recognizing all staff for their hard work and accomplishment of different tasks.

Working Towards Data Revolution

On 29th March 2023, NISR through its Data Revolution and Big Data department organized a half-day workshop at NISR Training Center and Data science campus, Kigali Rwanda.

JOURNALISTS TELL STORIES WITH DATA

The National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda in collaboration with Paris 21 organized a five days training on Gender Statistics.

The training is dedicated to 30 journalists from different media houses in Rwanda.

When opening the training on behalf of NISR Management, Mrs. Kayitesi Claudette, Training center manager at NISR salutes the good partnership with Paris 21 and wishes a fruitful outcome of the training.

Heads of National Statistical Offices in Africa are trained at NISR

From 18th to 20th May 2022, NISR hosted a 3 days regional statistical leadership training for Heads of National Statistical Offices (NSO). Leaders from over 25 NSOs attended this relevant training, with a focus to unlock the participants’ potential to be effective in leaders for statistics development. “Leadership is a continuous process” said Yusuf Murangwa Director General of the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda, in his opening remarks.
