In past two years (2017 and 2018), the unemployment rate in Rwanda is slightly declining while the employment to population and Labour force participation Rate is increasing.

Rwanda’s Consumer Price Index (CPI), main gauge of inflation increased by 0.1 percent year on year in November 2018 up from -0.6 percent in October 2018.
In November 2018, ‘Housing water, electricity, gas and other fuels increased by 3.0 percent on annual change and decreased by 1.2 percent on monthly basis. Transport increased by 9.7 percent on annual change and 0.9 percent on monthly change.

Rwanda’s general producer price index, combining both prices for local and export products registered an annual decrease of 1.54 percent in the third quarter of 2018 compared with the same period of 2018, while on quarterly basis it decreased by 0.49 percent compared with the second quarter 2018.
The main drivers for these changes were manufacturing, mining and quarrying.
