Rwanda's total imports drop 8.68 pct to $ 439.39 million in Q3, 2016
Rwanda’s total trade amounted to US$ 603.44 million, lower by 5.92 per cent over the third quarter of 2015 was made up Exports worth of US$ 112.54 million, imports of US$ 439.39 million and re-exports valued at US$ 51.52 million.
The total imports of Rwanda decreased by 8.68 per cent compared to the same quarter of 2015 and Domestic exports decreased by 1.49 per cent compared to the same quarter of 2015.

In Quarter 3 this year, Rwanda's producer price index (PPI) increased 3.78 percent year on year and was up 3.29 percent compared to the index of the previous quarter (second quarter 2016).
The index for local products for the third quarter 2016, registered an increase of 3.05 percent compared to the index of the third quarter of 2015, and an increase of 0.37 percent compared to the index of the previous quarter (second quarter 2016).

Rwanda’s total trade amounted to US$ 626.53 million, higher by 2.59 per cent over the second quarter of 2015 was made up Exports worth of US$ 92.24 million, imports of US$ 483.86 million and re-exports valued at US$ 50.43 million. The total imports of Rwanda increased by 2.80 per cent compared to the same quarter of 2015 and Domestic exports decreased by 1.76 per cent compared to the same quarter of 2015.
Rwanda's GDP growth figures at 5.4% for Q2, 2016
In the second quarter of 2016, Rwanda's Gross domestic product (GDP) at current market prices was estimated to be Rwf 1,549 billion, up from Rwf 1,428 billion in the same quarter of 2015.
The Services sector contributed 48 percent of GDP while the agriculture sector contributed 33 percent of the GDP. The industry sector contributed 13 percent of the GDP and 6 percent was attributed to adjustment for taxes and subsidies on products.
