Consumer Price Index (CPI) - February 2022
Urban CPI increased by 5.8 percent on annual basis (February 2022 and February 2021) and increased by 1.8 percent on monthly basis (February 2022 to January 2022). The annual average inflation rate between February 2022 and February 2021 was 1.3 percent.
Index of Industrial Production (formal activity),January 2022
In January 2022, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) shows that, industrial output (formal sector) increased by 30.3 percent compared to January 2021, against an increase of 20.0 percent on annual average basis.
Formal external trade in Goods report (January 2022)
The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 211.17 million in January 2022, a decrease of 3.26 per cent compared to the previous month of December 2021. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 37.89 per cent on the deficit of January 2021.
Producer Price Index Report,January 2022
Rwanda’s general Producer Price Index combining both prices for local and export products registered an annual increase of 8 percent in January 2022. Monthly general PPI increased by 0.7 percent. Local PPI increased by 2.7 percent in January 2022, and Export PPI increased by 25.3 percent in January 2022.
