GDP - National Accounts (Fiscal Year 2021/22)
In the fiscal year 2021-22, GDP at current market prices was estimated at Frw 11,976 billion, up from Frw 10,266 billion in 2020-21.
In this quarter, Services sector contributed 48 percent of GDP, agriculture sector contributed 23 percent of GDP, Industry sector contributed 21 percent of GDP, while 8 percent was attributed to adjustment for taxes and subsidies on products.

In the second quarter of 2022, GDP at current market prices was estimated at Frw 3,279 billion, up from Frw 2,668 billion in 2021 Q2.
In this quarter, Services sector contributed 47 percent of GDP, Agriculture sector contributed 25 percent of the GDP, Industry sector contributed 20 percent of the GDP and 8 percent was attributed to adjustment for taxes and subsidies on products
Producer Price Index Report, July 2022
Rwanda’s general Producer Price Index combining both prices for local and export products registered an annual increase of 8.1 percent in July 2022, Local PPI increased by 7.3 percent in July 2022, and Export PPI increased by 10.3 percent in July 2022.

Rwanda’s general Producer Price Index combining both prices for local and export products registered an annual increase of 12.3 percent in August 2022, Local PPI increased by 9 percent in August 2022, and Export PPI increased by 21.2 percent in August 2022.
Formal external trade in Goods report (August 2022)
The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 304.66 million in August 2022, an increase of 0.40 per cent compared to the previous month of July 2022. Year-over-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 69.77 per cent on the deficit of August 2021.
Index of Industrial Production (August-2022)
In August 2022, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) shows that industrial output (formal sector) increased by 19.7 percent compared to August 2021, against an increase of 1.6 percent on an annual average basis.
Consumer Price Index (September-2022)
Urban CPI increased by 17.6 percent on annual basis (September 2022 and September 2021) and increased by 2.1 percent on monthly basis (September 2022 to August 2022). The annual average inflation rate between September 2022 and September 2021 was 8.9 percent.

The Labour Force Survey (LFS) programme collect data on employment and labour underutilization characteristics of the population on a continuous basis, providing quarterly estimates of the main labour force aggregates with sufficient precision at the National level since 2016.

Rwanda’s general Producer Price Index combining both prices for local and export products registered an annual increase of 14.6 percent in June 2022. Monthly general PPI decreased by 3.2 percent. Local PPI increased by 15.3 percent in June 2022, and Export PPI increased by 12.8 percent in June 2022.
